Welcome to a very special episode of The SEGA Lounge as KC is joined by Ravsieg, Blessy, Matt Oliver and James Brown and they all share their thoughts and impressions on the newest entry in the Virtua Fighter series: Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown.
Hello, everyone! I know I promised a regular show this week, but you know how it is. Things change and this is officially Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown week all over the SEGA community. Thanks to SEGA of America and our good friend Danny Russell, myself and a whole bunch of other community content creators got early access to the game a day before it launched so it feels like it was a big community event with everyone streaming the game, talking about it online, playing together and just having fun. I am personally so addicted to it that I thought it would be fun to just keep talking about it. Maybe you're a massive fan of the Virtua Fighter series and you're still on the fence about this new Ultimate Showdown version. Or, like me, you're a fighting game noob but you've been wanting to hop on the hype train but are unsure whether to do it or not.
I am obviously unqualified to do a proper review of this game so I invited some friends over to The Lounge this week and we'll all be sharing our thoughts on the new Dragon Engine-based Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown, which is, for now, exclusive to PS4 and 5. Joining me are Ravsieg, from RadioSEGA, James Brown and Matt Oliver, from Shenmue Dojo, and Blessy, tournament organizer over at the Virtua Fighter Global Showdown community. We talk about the graphics, the music, the gameplay, the online and even the paid Legendary Pack DLC. I hope this is as entertaining as it is informative and stick around because you might learn a thing or two.
