Celebrating International Podcast Day in advance, this week's guests are James and Dan, aka The SEGAGUYS, a couple of veteran SEGA fans who host The SEGAGUYS RetroPod. I had a great time recording this interview and learning about the guys' love for SEGA and how they got together to start the podcast. I also learned a lot about how playing Sega Rally can be a meditative experience. Listen to the episode if you want to know more about this awesome SEGA podcast.
Hello all you beautiful people! I hope you're all doing well and ready for a brand new episode of The SEGA Lounge. It's a very special one, I can assure you, because I had a blast recording this interview and I'm sure you'll love my guests and their podcast. Yes, we're talking about a podcast in a podcast... podcast-ception. Why?
Well, September 30th is International Podcast Day and I thought it would be a nice thing to take this opportunity to celebrate other SEGA or SEGA adjacent podcasts. The original plan was to have a month-long celebration but adjustments had to be made due to scheduling conflicts. Nevertheless, it's a pleasure to talk about this week's guests, a pair of amazing SEGA fans who host a fantastic podcast you should definitely listen to.

Podcaster
James became a SEGA fan in the mid 90’s through a dual-combo of Virtua Fighter in the arcade and the PAL launch of the SEGA Saturn. These days he's the co-host of The SEGAGuys RetroPod alongside Dan “The Mega” Driver, and you can usually find him playing SEGA Rally trying to shave milliseconds off his best times.
His favorite SEGA games, given his arcade “roots” are the arcade ports, primarily on the SEGA Saturn and to this day he still thinks Virtua Fighter 2 on the Saturn is the peak of gaming engineering.
Here are some great episodes to start with.
